Here is the scripture again with the Hebrew meaning of the words "spreadeth abroad" included.

The outer layer of the earth is called the crust. The crust of the earth is cracked. The pieces of earth that lie between the cracks are called plates. The plates of the earth look like the broken pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that once fitted together.
Millions of years ago there was one mass of land upon the earth.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. Genesis 1:8,9
Scientists have called that land mass Pangaea. Around 250 million years ago the LORD that maketh all things started breaking (spreading) Pangaea into plates. Isaiah 44:24
The earth's continents and the sea are seated upon the broken plates. The plates are slowly and constantly moving, they move at the rate of about 10 centimeters a year. Fiery molten rock beneath the earth's surface is causing the plates to move about.

As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire. Job 28:25

As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and below, beneath, under, (underneath) it is turned up (to) turn (about, over), turn (aside, back, to the contrary, every way, again), (to) be (turned), be turned aside, (be) turned up, (be) turned to the contrary, turning of things upside down, overturn, tumble, overthrow, be overthrown, (to) change, be changed, be (converted), as it were fiery, flaming, burning, hot, fire. The movements of the plates upon the earth cause, volcano's, earthquakes, tsunami's, and other natural disasters. Mountains are also builded, by colliding and crashing plates.
When the plates move towards and crash against one another, the edges of the plates crack and buckle and crumple, and over millions of years, this cracking, and buckling, and crumpling builds great mountain ranges upon the earth. A mountain range is a group of mountains that are lying beside one another. Ranges of mountains that are joined together are called mountain chains.
The Himalayas, the Rockies, the Andes, Mount Everest.
The highest and longest mountains ranges upon the earth are the Himalayas, the Andes, and the Rockies. These mountains are still growing higher because they are seated near the edges of plates which are being forced together.
Mount Everest, the tallest mountain upon the earth, is situated among, the Himalayan mountains.
