The earth drinks water..Heb 6:7..Psa 1-4:13..The earth heartily drinks water..The earth is irrigated with water..Water moistens (wets) the earth..Mounts, mountains, hills, hilly country, and ranges of hills are watered from his lofty sky.
Soil is moved from place to place in running water..When running water slows down, or stops moving the soil is deposited on the ground..Soil that is deposited by water, forms piles of earth on the ground.
Rills. A rill is a small channel in the ground..As water that falls from the lofty sky runs down the steep slopes of hills, it cuts into the earth on the hills and moves (washes away) soil leaving behind little channels (grooves) which are called rills.
Gullies. Water runs down through rills on the sides of hills washing away soil and causing the rills to join together and become gullies.
Streams. Water runs down through gullies washing sediments (soil) into streams.
Valleys. Valleys are formed by the constant motion of soil (sediments) eroding the beds of streams.

Rivers. Sediments are deposited in rivers by streams.

A river has three stages. Young, mature, and old.
Young rivers are found on the steep slopes of mountains. Young rivers flow swiftly. Most of the young river's erosion is on its bed. Young rivers form V- shaped valleys. Rapids and waterfalls are found in young and swiftly flowing rivers.

Mature rivers move slowly. A mature river has just enough energy to carry its load. The slopes of a mature river are gentle. Mature rivers erode their sides and their beds. Mature rivers meander. The floors of valleys are widened as meandering rivers wear away the sides of valleys. Floodplains are created on valley floors when heavy rains cause rivers to overflow their banks.

Hebrew word.
..
ga^da^h gaw-daw' to cut off, a border of a river (as cut into by stream), cuttings out by water, bank (-s). See Strongs 1415

Slowly moves the water in old man river. Old rivers widen the flat and broad floodplain. An old river has many meanders. During times of heavy rain and floods an old river is sometimes forced to cut a new path across a meandering loop. The river deposits sediments at both ends of the meander loop which cut it off from the river. The loop which is formed becomes an oxbow lake.

All rivers bearing their heavy loads of sediments run into, the sea.
7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. Ecclesiastes 1:7

Irrigate. Moisten. Supply (land) with water from artificial channels or pipes.
