Beneath the sea, rocks of the earth suddenly rise,or drop, as magma causes the plates beneath the sea to bump into one another, or grind together, or rise over, or sink beneath one another, and the ground shakes, and the water shakes, and a bulge of water is forced up, and as the bulge of water
sinks back down again, huge waves called harbour waves, seismic waves (tsunamis) are set in motion, and the waves
spread out in all directions across the sea at speeds of up to 700 km per hour.

And when the waves reach shallower water, higher ground, (the shore) the size of the waves increase to heights of around 110 feet as the sea is pulled back from the shore; and the energy within the waves, which can be around 160 km or more wide, climbs from the bottom of the waves to the tops of the waves, and then the waves break, and the walls of roaring water throw ships at the shore, as they race across the land, smashing, and washing away, everything, and everyone, in their path.

22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? Jeremiah 5:22

Volcanic eruptions, mudslides, landslides, avalanches, and earthquakes within the sea, force walls of water up, and onto the shore.
