10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be [3089] dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 2 Peter 3:10,11

all these things shall be [3089] dissolved,
The heavens shall be dissolved!

What are the heavens? G3772
G3772 ου?ρανο?ς ouranos oo-ran-os' Maybe origin G3735 ο??ρος oros or'-os (from the idea of lifted);
the sky; heaven (dwelling place of God); implication of power, eternity, happiness; ideally the Gospel (Christianity): - air, heaven (s, -ly), sky.

The heavens [G3772] in Matthew 24:29 refer to the heavens as being the place from where the stars shall fall. Which means: The heavens also means space, and , today we know that stars are housed in galaxies, so, heavens also means galaxies, so now, I can add to the meaning of G3772 ου?ρανο?ς ouranos oo-ran-os' Space & galaxies.

all these things shall be [3089] dissolved,
The heavens, shall be [3089] dissolved,

The following is a study of the meaning of the Greek word 3089 dissolved to see what is going to happen to "the heavens,"

Dissolved>
3089 λυ?ω luo» loo'-o Primary verb; to loosen: - break (up), destroy, melt, dissolve, (un-) loose, put off. Compare 4486 ρ?η?γνυμι, ρ?η?σσω rhe»gnumi rhe»sso» Greek.

4486 ρ?η?γνυμι, ρ?η?σσω rhe»gnumi rhe»sso» hrayg'-noo-mee, hrace'-so Lengthened form of ρ?η?κω rhe»ko (probably stronger form of 2608 α??γνυμι agnumi); [see 2608] to break, wreck, crack, to sunder (by separating the parts; its emphasis is 2608 κατα?γνυμι katagnumi (with governing word in compounds), and 2352 θραυ?ω thrauo» throw'-o a shattering to minute pieces; but not a reducing to the constituent particles, like 3089 λυ?ω luo» loo'-o) or disrupt, lacerate; to convulse (with spasms); to give vent to happy feelings: - break (forth), tear, (to) rend, burst.

What is going to happen to the heavens.
The heavens, shall be [to loosen: - break (up), destroy, melt, dissolve, (un-) loose, put off...to break, wreck, crack, to sunder (by separating the parts; shattering to minute pieces; but not a reducing to the constituent particles, disrupt, lacerate; to convulse (with spasms); to give vent to happy feelings: - break (forth), tear, (to) rend, burst.] dissolved,

What is going to happen to the heavens?
Fervent heat is going to cause the [heavens] air, the sky, space, the galaxies ...to loosen: - [relax 3886], break (up), destroy, melt, dissolve, (un-) loose, put off...to break, wreck, crack, to sunder (by separating the parts; shattering to minute pieces; but not a reducing to the constituent particles, disrupt, lacerate; to convulse (with spasms); to give vent to happy feelings: - break (forth), tear, (to) rend, burst.] dissolved,

Atoms in the air!
The (gas, atmosphere) air, that surrounds this earth, was and can be lifted with (fervent) heat, e.g. vapour rises. The atmosphere contains water in the form of vapour, so, liquid water was lifted up into the atmosphere from the earth in the form of (clouds of) mist. Genesis 2:6 The chemical composition of water is H2O, so, molecules of hydrogen and oxygen were lifted up into the atmosphere with heat. Hydrogen and oxygen gases can be lifted with heat!

See: Youngs Analytical Concordance to the Bible.
Air is atmis G822 which is vapour. See: Vapour: ed. Job 36:27

Old King James Version of the Holy Bible. Job 36:27,28
27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the [H108] vapour thereof:
28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

H108 vapour: See also: Job 36:27, 28 E-Sword Bible.

Vapour can be [relaxed 3886], loosened, (un-) loosed, broken (up), destroyed, wrecked, melted, dissolved, put off, cracked, to sunder by separating the parts; [Vapour is made of parts!] Shattered to minute pieces, [Vapour is made of pieces! Vapour is made of pieces which can be reduced to constituent particles. e.g. There is water vapour in the air! Two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen make one molecule of water. The two atoms of hydrogen and the one atom of oxygen which are locked together to form a molecule of water can, with fervent heat, be broken apart into three separate atoms!].Vapour can be disrupted, lacerated, convulse (with spasms), broken (forth), torn, rent, burst, dissolved.

Water vapour in the air!
Vapour is made of pieces! Vapour is made of pieces which can be reduced to constituent particles. e.g. There is water vapour in the air! Two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen make one molecule of water.

Atoms in the air!
The two atoms of hydrogen and the one atom of oxygen which are locked together in each molecule of water vapour that is found in the air, can, with fervent heat, be broken apart into three separate atoms. There are atoms, in the air. The atmosphere is made up of atomic particles. Liquid water is made up of atoms which are held together by bonds! Heat causes liquid water to vibrate and break up into molecules of water, which, with fervent heat can be broken apart into atoms!

The Fire Triangle. 1) Fuel. 2) Heat. 3) Oxygen to fan the flames. If Global Warming conitnues, as the atmosphere gets hotter, and Hydrogen and Oxygen Atoms are separated from one another, the heat that has been produced from Global Warming might cause Hydrogen Atoms in the air, to explode with a great noise! [The LORD God Almighty is continually raining "Mist & Coins" from his Sun, over this whirling earth, so, if the LORD God Almighty can rain "Mist & Coins" from his Sun, over this whirling earth, then, The LORD God Almighty, could even rain fuels into the air, that surrounds this earth, and or, even fire! The earth will be [G2618] burned up and [G3089] dissolved.

The following is a study of the meaning of the Greek words 2618 burned 3089 dissolved to see what is going to happen to "the earth"

G2618 κατακαι?ω katakaio» kat-ak-ah'ee-o From G2596 κατα? kata kat-ah' and G2545 και?ω kaio» kah'-yo; to burn down (to the ground), to, consume wholly: - (utterly) burn (up). Greek.

What is going to happen to the earth? G2618
The earth will be (wholly) utterly consumed with fire.

Dissolved.
G3089 λυ?ω luo» loo'-o Primary verb; to loosen: - break (up), destroy, melt, dissolve, (un-) loose, put off. Compare G4486 ρ?η?γνυμι, ρ?η?σσω rhe»gnumi rhe»sso» Greek.

What is going to happen to the earth?
The earth, shall be [to loosen: - break (up), destroy, melt, dissolve, (un-) loose, put off...to break, wreck, crack, to sunder (by separating the parts; shattering to minute pieces; but not a reducing to the constituent particles, disrupt, lacerate; to convulse (with spasms); to give vent to happy feelings: - break (forth), tear, (to) rend, burst.] dissolved,

What is going to happen to the earth?
Fervent heat is going to cause the earth...to loosen: - [relax G3886], break (up), destroy, melt, dissolve, (un-) loose, put off...to break, wreck, crack, to sunder (by separating the parts; shattering to minute pieces; but not a reducing to the constituent particles, disrupt, lacerate; to convulse (with spasms); to give vent to happy feelings: - break (forth), tear, (to) rend, burst.] dissolved,...melt, convulse with spasms, be dissolved.

Atoms in the dust.
Rock, earth, ground, soil can be disrupted, un-loosed, loosened, [relaxed G3886], lacerated, torn, rent, broken (up), cracked, to sunder (by separating the parts; shattering to minute pieces; wrecked, melted with fervent heat and caused to convulse with spasms, be (reduced to [atoms!] it's constituent particles,) dissolved.

Man is made of vapour and dust, and man (grew ) was taken out of the earth.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into [H6227] smoke shall they consume away. Psa 37:20

Man shall consume into: smoke, vapor, dust.
H6227 ˛¨?´ ?a^sha^n aw-shawn' From H6225 ˛¨?´ ?a^shan aw-shan' smoke, vapor, dust, anger, smoke (-ing).

15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto [H6083] dust. Job 34:15

Man shall turn again into: earth, ground, clay, mud, morter, dust, powder, ashes, rubbish.
H6083 ˛˘° ?a^pha^r aw-fawr' grey or powdered dust; for this reason earth, clay, mud: - dust, ashes, powder, rubbish, morter, earth, ground. From H6080 ˛˘° ?a^phar aw-far' to be gray, to pulverize, used only as denominative from H6083, to be dust, cast (dust).

Man (was taken) grew out of the earth.
18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the [H6083] earth shall others grow. Job 8:18,19

Man (the human race was grown) grew out of earth, ground, clay, mud, morter, dust, powder, ashes, rubbish.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes: Genesis 18:27

Looking into the womb of the woman in the picture above, it is plain to see, that man grew out of the earth. Man was grown from something to which s/he was probably attached and nurtured and then broken away. Man was grown from the atomic, vapour and dust of space. Man was grown from atoms!

The early earth.
The rotating earth is made of atoms, vapour and dust, which were once a cloud of atomic vapour and dust in space, which was caused by heat and cold in space to roll into a ball which was ignited by fervent heat and became a massive rolling molten fire burning in space, and as the earth cooled down, the molten rolling mass of atomic vapour and dust got heavier as it solidified, and it began to roll slower, and became water, vapour, rock and earth, but deep beneath this rocky earth, molten rock which is known as magma is still convulsing in spasms as it continues to burn with fervent heat.

5 As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is [H2015 convulsing in spasms] turned up as it were [H784 fiery, flaming, burning, hot, fire.] fire. Job 28:5

H2015 ń˘ŕ haphak haw-vak' Primitive root; to turn (about, over), implying to change, overturn, return, pervert: - turn (aside, back, to the contrary, every way, again), (to) be (turned), be turned aside, (be) turned up, (be) turned to the contrary, turning of things upside down, overturn, tumble, overthrow, be overthrown, (to) change, be changed, be converted, be (come), give, retire, make (a bed), perverse.

H784 Ó¨?'e^sh pronounced aysh Primitive word; fire, fiery, flaming, burning, hot, fire.

Beneath the earth fiery, flaming, burning, hot, (atomic, vapour and dust) fire, (molten magma) is [H2015 tumbling, being overturned, turning every way] convulsing in spasms as it burns with fervent heat.

Atoms in vapour.
Liquid water is made up of molecules of water which consist of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen.

Atoms in man.
Man is made of vapour and dust which is made of, atoms.
