Water soaks into the ground.
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for
them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: Heb 6:7

10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft
with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. Psa 65:10

The earth can be filled (saturated) with water.
16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It
is enough. Prov 30:16

The ground can be dry.
16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of
Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were
a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. Ex 14:16,22

17 And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. Josh 3:17

8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided
hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. 2 Kings 2:8

33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings. Ps 107:33-35

3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: Isa 44:3

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Isa 53:2

Q. Why is the ground dry?

A. The ground is dry because, water evaporates (dries up) from the earth.

6 But there went up a [ed..vapour, mist, fog, enveloping] mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. Gen 2:6

Q. What causes water to dry up from the earth?

A. Heat breaks, (shakes) water into pieces, and the pieces of violenty moving water bump into one
another and are forced to spread out, and some of the broken pieces of water are forced above the
surface of the water, where they are picked up by the moving atmosphere and carried away. Prov 3:20

Water falls out of the atmosphere and onto the ground.
11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain
of [shamayim..heaved up things, air, to be lofty, aloft, visible arch where the clouds are moved, the sky, heaven, space] heaven: Deut 11:11

Q. Where does the water come from that falls upon the ground?
6 But there went up a [ed..vapour, mist, fog, enveloping] mist from the earth, and [shaqah..cause to
give drink, cause to give to drink, cause to drink, give drink, give to drink, make drink, make to drink,
let drink, water, to water, moisten, be moistened, to irrigate, to quaff, drown, butler, cupbearer] watered the whole face of the ground. Gen 2:6

The water that falls upon the ground is the water that was risen up and into the atmosphere from the ground.

The earths water is moving in a cycle. The earths water is recycled.
