Vapour escapes into the atmosphere from herbs, grasses, and tender shoots (green plants). Water carrying food, is carried up, and throughout a plant by capilliary action. When the water reaches the leaves of the plant, water vapour is then released into the atmosphere from every leaf of the plant. Psalm 1:3

The rate of transpiration.
Humidity slows down transpiration because the air around the leaves of plants is saturated with water.

Heat speeds up transpiration by drying up the air around the leaves of plants.

Wind speeds up transpiration by picking up, and carrying away vapour, from around the leaves of plants.
