15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels. Hosea 13:15

15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east [ruach ..spirit, breath, air, wind] wind shall come, the [ruach.. spirit, breath, air, wind] wind of the LORD shall come up from the [midbar..desert, wilderness, pasture land] wilder-ness, and his spring shall become [bosh..become dry, to be dried up] dry, and his [mayan..well, spring, fountain] fountain shall be [chareb..waste, desolate, dried up, dry] dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels. Hosea 13:15

some Deserts are hot and dry places. Deuteronomy 8:15 Winds blow in deserts. The wind from the
desert was to be a hot (burning) wind. Hosea 13:15 Wycliffe. Hot winds are dry winds. Jeremiah 4:11

Q. What made the hot dry wind come out of the desert?

A. The earth is surrounded by a blanket of air, heat from the sun warms the earth and the air above it, but neither the earth or the air is evenly heated, because there are mountains, and hills, and rocks, and trees, and buildings, and clouds that block the heat of the sun from reaching the earth, by casting shadows over the ground, and where there is a shadow, there is shade that is keeping that part of the earth cool.

32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt. Job 36:32

5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low. Isaiah 25:5 Shadows lower the temperature. Shadows help keep the earth cool.

When air is heated, the air expands and rises up, and as the warm air is rising, cooler air rushes out from the shadows and moves into the spaces left behind by the warmer rising air, and currents of wind called convection currents are set up, causing winds to blow all around the earth.

A. The heat of the sun made the hot dry wind come out of the desert.

Water dries up. Water from wells, springs, and fountains dries up. The water in geysers and fountains can be completely dried up. Water dries up from beneath the ground.
Heat causes water to evaporate (dry up). Hot dry air (wind) picks up water vapour and transports it throughout the atmo-sphere (air). Ecclesiastes 1:6 Water vapour is carried in the air (wind). Some winds are hot. The air gets hot. Some
winds are dry. The air gets dry. Humidity.
